Thanks again to my good friends at Northrop Grumman for inviting Ansible
Technologies to teach Astronomy at the Maryland Science Center October
2011. In spite of the rain we managed to have a wonderful time.
The JWST
is more than just another space observatory; it will allow us to see
beyond the limits of Hubble. It represents the very edge of human
knowledge and is necessary for the health and success of this country.
Support the James Webb Space Telescope!
The good folks at TMT (Thirty Meter Telescope) invited us to present an astronomy program at the first annual USA Science & Engineering
Festival Washington DC, Oct 23rd & 24th.
Just before our visitors arrived we set up our Time Lapse Camera.
For
the most part our guests ignored the camera sitting in the corner of
the room but on occasion a visitor would notice it and we captured
several very amusing moments.
We met hundreds of enthusiastic
New Yorkers and visitors from around the world and it was an honor and delight
to spend several days with the folks from NASA who dreamed up JWST.
Thanks
again to our friends and NGC & NASA and the great people of NYC.
Thanks to the folks at NGC for allowing me to set up the Time Lapse camera once again. I thought it would be fun to see how much work is involved in putting on such an amazing exhibition. This was the Saturday prior to the 2011 National Space Symposium in Colorado Springs.
Special thanks to Nathan & Arturo, the space theater you built for me was great!
